Sending a message to guardians
Notices, homework, fees or exam news — straight to the guardian's phone, free. Photos and PDFs too. Before you send, the app tells you who will actually receive it and who will not.
The screenshots show the app in Bangla, its main language. The buttons sit in the same places in English.
-
Open the class, tap "ডিজিটাল ডায়েরি" (Digital Diary), then "বার্তা পাঠান" (Send message).
-
At the top is "বার্তার ধরন" (Message type). It puts a label on the message — notice, homework, fee, exam — so the guardian knows at a glance what it is about. Leave it and it stays "সাধারণ বার্তা" (General message), which is fine too.
-
Write what you want to say in "বার্তা লিখুন" (Write your message). For example: "There is a Quran exam tomorrow — please have them ready." Short and plain is best.
-
You can attach a photo or a PDF — "ছবি যোগ করুন" (Add photo) or "পিডিএফ যোগ করুন" (Add PDF). A photo of the routine, a notice sheet, a page of a book — all work.
-
Now the line that matters most — the green box saying how many guardians will receive this. That number is the truth. Below it, the app says how many will NOT receive it because they have not connected yet.
If that number is 0, the message reaches nobody — no matter how you write it. It means no guardian in this class has connected yet. Connect them first, then send. The green box has a "কীভাবে যুক্ত করব?" (How do I connect them?) button that takes you straight there.
-
Below, choose who gets it. "সকল শিক্ষার্থীর কাছে" (To all students) means the whole class; otherwise tick just the names you need in the "সিলেক্ট করুন" (Select) list.
-
When it all looks right, tap "বার্তা পাঠান" (Send message) at the bottom. It reaches the guardian's app immediately.
If the button is grey, nobody has been selected yet — or no guardian in this class is connected. Look at the number in the green box again.
-
Everything you have sent is kept in one place. Back on the diary page, tap "পূর্বের পাঠানো বার্তা" (Messages sent earlier).
-
Each message is listed with its type and when it was sent. The "ফিল্টার করুনঃ" (Filter) box at the top shows only notices, or only homework. Tapping a message lets you edit or delete it.
Common questions
Can one message go to every guardian in the whole institution at once, or must I do it class by class?
Class by class, today — saying it plainly because people often assume otherwise. The Digital Diary opens from inside a class and the message goes to that class's guardians. Five classes means sending five times. Inside a class, tapping "সকল" does reach all of them in one go — it is the class boundary it does not cross. There is no institution-wide send yet.
Does the message reach every guardian, or only the ones on the app?
Only the ones connected to the diary. The message lands inside the guardian's Hazira Khata app — it is not an SMS. A guardian who has not connected receives nothing, and you would not notice unless you read the green counter at the top. That number is the only honest signal: "০ জন অভিভাবক এই বার্তা পাবেন" means it is reaching nobody.
Does sending a message cost money, like SMS?
No, it is free. This is not SMS — the message goes inside the guardian's Hazira Khata app. Send as many as you like.
Do I have to buy SMS separately to send from Hazira Khata?
No — there is no way to buy messages or SMS in the app at all. Diary messages are free. The "এসএমএস" row you see when sending a receipt or result opens your own phone's Messages app, and that SMS is billed to your SIM by your operator, not by Hazira Khata. How do I know the guardian saw it?
When a guardian opens it and taps "দেখেছি" (Seen), it shows on your side. Not everyone taps it, so do not assume an unmarked message was never read.
Can I send without internet?
No. You need internet to send, and the guardian needs it to receive. Once it has arrived, they can read it later without internet.
I sent it with a mistake — can I fix it?
Yes. Open "পূর্বের পাঠানো বার্তা", tap that message, and you can edit or delete it. If the guardian already read it you cannot unread it, so it is worth checking before you send.
I want to tell one student's guardian privately.
In the "সিলেক্ট করুন" list, tick only that student and untick the rest. The message then goes to that guardian alone — nobody else sees it.
Does the guardian's phone alert them?
Yes, they get a notification — unless they have turned the app's notifications off. For something truly urgent, send the message and also give them a call.
