Seeing who is connected, and removing someone
After sending the requests, the only question that matters is whether it worked. The list at the bottom of the diary answers it — who is marked connected, who to call, and exactly what the red ✕ does.
The screenshots show the app in Bangla, its main language. The buttons sit in the same places in English.
-
Open the class and tap "ডিজিটাল ডায়েরি" (Digital Diary).
-
Below the four buttons is a heading, "সংযুক্ত অভিভাবকগণ" (Connected guardians). The list under it is everyone this class's diary reaches.
-
Each row shows the student's name with a small green "যুক্ত" (Connected) tag next to it. That tag is the whole point — "যুক্ত" means that guardian will receive your messages. A guardian who has not accepted yet does not carry it.
A guardian who is not on the list at all has received nothing yet. Send the request again, or connect them on the spot with the QR code.
-
The green phone icon at the right of the row calls or WhatsApps that guardian — you do not have to go hunting for the number.
-
Next to it is a red ✕. It disconnects that guardian — from then on they see none of this class's messages, attendance or results.
-
Nothing happens the moment you tap ✕. The app asks first — "Remove this guardian?" — and tells you exactly what they will stop seeing.
-
Tapped it by mistake? Tap "বাদ" (Cancel) and nothing changes. To really remove them, tap the red "হ্যাঁ, সরিয়ে দিন" (Yes, remove).
Once removed, there is no undo button. Nothing is lost forever though — send that guardian a fresh request or QR and connect them again. Red text always means "this destroys something", so do not tap it in a hurry.
-
Tapping the row itself (anywhere but the two icons) opens a message to that one student's guardian — the quickest way to say something privately instead of to the whole class.
Common questions
If I remove a guardian, do their old messages disappear?
What already reached their phone stays with them. From the moment you remove them, nothing new goes out and they stop seeing new attendance or results.
I tapped ✕ by mistake — can I undo it?
First check whether you actually tapped "হ্যাঁ, সরিয়ে দিন". Tapping ✕ alone changes nothing — the box appears and "বাদ" puts it back. If you did remove them, there is no undo button, but the fix is easy: send that guardian the request again, or show them the QR if they are with you. Once they accept, they are back.
I removed someone but the spinner never stops — did it work or not?
It worked. The spinner just forgets to stop — that is a bug on our side, the disconnect itself went through. Close the app fully and reopen it; the name is gone from the list. Do not tap ✕ again. A fix is on the way.
Can two guardians connect to one student?
Yes. A father and a mother can each connect — the list then shows two rows for that student, and both receive messages.
The list looks empty — now what?
It means nobody in this class has connected yet. Tap the (+) button at the bottom right and send the request to the whole class, or start by showing one guardian the QR. An empty list can also mean you are offline — turn on internet and reopen the page.
Can other teachers see this list?
Teachers attached to this class can, because the diary belongs to the class, not to one teacher. If another teacher takes over the class, they inherit the same list — nobody has to reconnect.
